i've decided not to go to work today. yeah, it's friday and i'm still sick, so why bother. and i have to go look for a gift for joshua's birthday party tomorrow. i can honestly tell you i am not looking forward to driving out to moorpark tomorrow morning. not even because i'll be missing the beginning of the ucla game, but because it's out in freaking MOORPARK! where the hell is that anyway?
my main goal for today is to get better. which means i'll be nesting in front of the tv with my box of kleenex and a big mug of tea. but that seem like such a waste of time however. maybe, i'll ask jenny to go see a movie today at the laemmle. jenny and i have somewhat similar taste in movies. we went and watched, "man from elysian fields" on monday (when i went into work for a laughable one whole hour). she said she liked it a lot (a sentiment that she reiterated last night at the farmers' market). i had mixed feelings about it. it was an interesting film, especially with mick jagger's character. but i thought the film lacked something... i can't say what it is though. and by no means am i some film elitist; i'm just saying for me, the film lacked something. maybe that wasn't the greatest example of how jenny and i have similar tastes in movies, but fuck it, aren't we all different? another goal for today is to actually leave the house since i have things to do. 1) go to the post office and return "as time goes by" dvd back to playcentric.com because they gave me two disc 1's instead of discs 1 and 2, 2) go find an exciting dinosaur CD-ROM for joshua, 3) go get some 'tussin for my worsening cough, and 4) go get some fresh air. at this point you're probably asking, what the hell is "as time goes by?" all i'm going to say at this moment is that it is a bbc show that i'm terribly obsessed about. i'll tell you more on a rainy day, only if you behave like good little children. also, can i just tell you how happy i am about the upcoming release of "sportsnight" on dvd? it was actually one of the shows that christina and i enjoyed watching together; it's still a damn great show though. album/song of the day: too early for that my friends length of time stuck in traffic: NONE, so fuck you traffic gods!
